Skills DMC

The primary role of SkillsDMC, as the Industry Skills Council for the mining, civil infrastructure, quarrying and drilling sectors, is to develop and implement an education and training structure with the flexibility to meet the range of stakeholder needs that is rigorous enough to satisfy the regulatory and educational requirements across Australia.

ATA participates in regular Registered Training Organisation (RTO)Forums facilitated by the South Australia branch of SkillsDMC. The forums provide a platform for dialogue between the Skills Council and RTOs related to continuous improvement processes, best practice initiatives and industry intelligence on workforce trends and quality training systems.

As a key stakeholder in the provision of training services to the mining sector, ATA also seeks the services of SkillsDMC to participate in regular assessment validation meetings to measure and improve the quality of our training and assessment processes.
